New Blog
I’m sure many people are wondering if I’ve fallen off the face of the Earth. The answer is no - I’ve been hard at work on a great new blog! Due to the technology the new blog is built on, it’s not compatible with this blog’s database, so it will have to be a fresh start. The new blog is pretty special, and has some insane new features. I’m super excited to be finally taking it live.
The new blog will have links back to this one, so everyone can still visit this one as often as they like. Be sure to update your favorites, and RSS readers to the new blog’s url!
So without further ado, here is the link to the new blog:

Last week, I headed over to the Shreveport to shoot Krystl’s bridals. Krystl had some cool spots of her own for us to shoot at, then of course I threw a little downtown action into the mix. We had some amazing weather, and the denizens of downtown Shreveport couldn’t help themselves from honking, waving, and smiling at Krystl as we shot. It was definitely a good time, and we got some cool photos:

dead iPhone
To all my clients - I apologize if you’ve been trying to get in touch with me. My beloved iPhone kicked the bucket on me yesterday, so I’ve been without a phone.
I should have a replacement from Apple tomorrow, and we’ll be good to go. If you need to get in touch, leave me a voicemail, or email me!
Update: Got a new iPhone from Apple late Friday evening, so I’m good to go!

Niki and Cody
As promised, here are some of my favorite from Niki and Cody’s Engagement session. I love the downtown Lake Charles area - there are a ton of cool locations in just a few blocks. We had to do this session after the wedding, as Cody’s in the Marines.
Guys, I had a blast with you, and I hope you love the photos:

Niki and Cody’s Wedding
A couple of weekends ago, I headed down to Lake Charles to shoot Niki and Cody’s wedding. I’m glad I drove down the night before, because I got wicked lost - I would have been super late for the ceremony if I was traveling day of!
Niki and Cody had a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was at a church with a large sanctuary, but the whole wedding still had a very intimate feel, which is great. The antique Ford was gorgeous, and I’m glad we had nice weather to shoot in.
I actually headed back down to Lake Charles this weekend to shoot these two again, so check the blog! The images from that session will be posted in the next few days.

Married!

There were some beautiful details at this wedding:

Kerri and Ron’s Wedding
A few weeks ago, I shot Kerri and Ron’s wedding at Kerri’s parents’ house on Lake D’arbonne. Even though it’s December, we got lucky with some really nice, mild weather. The wedding was beautiful - it was so nice to shoot.

Interview at BluDomain.com!
Check it out - BluDomain, the excellent website company from Colorado, has featured an interview with yours truly over at their super popular blog! I’m thrilled to get a spot over there, Kailee does a great job keeping it interesting for photographers and non-photogs alike.
Thanks Kailee, and everyone else at BluDomain!

A few weeks back, I shot a couple of cousins, Lauren and Katelyn. Both shoots went great, and as promised, here are some of my favorites from my shoot with Katelyn:

Big news!
I’m a little late in blogging this, as it’s been out for a little bit but here we are:
I’ve been featured at Better Homes and Gardens! BHG has started a really great new series on their site, called Real Weddings - and I was chosen to be a part of it. I am incredibly honored to be a part of the series. As a kid, my mom always had Better Homes and Garden’s magazines around the house, and to be featured there is really exciting. I’m also extremely excited for Erica and Zeb, one of my favorite couples ever - their wedding is currently being featured.
Any wedding I shoot could end up as a part of the series! Be sure to check BHG’s site out, it’s incredible.
So that leads me to the next thing - new website!

My new website is beautiful. It’s got big, big images, and more information sections. The home page even looks like the back of my business cards, which is neat-o:

BluDomain did a smokin’ job with the layout of this site. To Aundrea and everyone else at BD, thanks a ton.
I couldn’t stop with just the site, so I made a few tweaks to the blog so it would be more similar to my main website.
All this is a great way to lead into 2008 - I am super excited!

Last week I had a senior shoot with Lauren, and the next day I shot her cousin as well! Be sure to check back as those images will be going up very soon.
We shot in some new spots downtown that I had been wanting to experiment with, and I think they came out really cool.
